It's recommended to bring your own laptop with PixInsight installed and working. This is not a requirement, but if you don't bring your own laptop with PixInsight installed, you'd be missing the entire hands-on experience provided by the workshop.

As for power, there will be power plugs, but it's better if you bring it with the batteries fully loaded.

This workshop is aimed at people with no previous knowledge of PixInsight, as well as people at an intermediate level. A separate workshop for people with advanced knowledge of PixInsight will be scheduled separately.

The following topics that will be covered:

  • How to take advantage of PixInsight's unique interface
Some people claim PixInsight's interface is too complicated. Others have learned that PixInsight's unique interface is actually a blessing. Either way, you will leave this workshop not only perfectly understanding PixInsight's interface, but also learning several tricks that intermediate (and maybe some advanced) users may not be aware of.
  • Effective Image calibration, registration and integration/stacking
PixInsight is so versatile when it comes to the processes involved in producing master light images, that it may feel overwhelming at first. This workshop will get rid of any fear or confusion, as well as making you more productive and effective every time you come home with your raw data..
  • Complete Processing Workflow
We will process several images from beginning to end, following easy to understand tools and workflow. Gradients, color balance, noise reduction, sharpening, "smart" stretching, etc.
There'll be a time for Q&A, so be prepared to come with your questions!!

Rogelio has been all around the world doing astroimaging and giving talks and workshops about astronomical imaging and image processing: America (USA and Latin America), Australia, Europe, Asia... Also, including the complete list of awards and accolades would be perhaps too long, but please

Just as Rogelio's work has often been defined as a unique, easily recognizable personal style, expect the same from his presentations, field trips and workshops.
