O'ahu is, by far, the Hawaiian island that produces the largest amount of light pollution, especially the areas in the south and southeast, with the epicenter clearly in Honolulu. Knowing our Moon was not going to help at all in having a chance for a dark and starry night, the approach had to be completely different than what I had done in Kaua'i.
Despite the island being clearly overcrowded - nearly one million people live in O'ahu, and that does not include the constant flow of tourists all year long - O'ahu is still an extraordinarily beautiful place.
