The story

Back in 2017 there were five incredibly important people in my life. My wife and two kids, and my parents. My dad left us 6 years ago but he did manage to see how astrophotography became my passion for the first 4 years I started doing this. Regardless, not ever, neither of my parents ever accompannied me on a night photo outing. Until this night. During this, my mom’s first visit to California (mind you, she was 85 years old at the time), and just two days before she was going back to Spain, I took her on a San Francisco night tour. We visited several good places for night sightseeing, including Treasure Island, Union Square and of course, a few nice vantage points to see the Golden Gate bridge. This is the first night image I ever captured with my mom next to me. I took a couple more shots that night, and since she was leaving back to Spain two days later, who knew when or even if there’d be another chance. It doesn’t really matter, though. There’s a first unrepeatable time for everything, and this was it. Photographers often consider their work as a way to show the world through their eyes. Me? I mostly share views and landscapes that bring back memories. I don’t show the world through my eyes, I show bits of my life while wandering around the world at night. That’s why this image will probably be one of the most important and memorable images I’ve ever captured. Thank you mom for always being next to me, even when there’s thousands of miles between us.

Fuji Pearl paper is a super high gloss finish, archival paper. It has a better gloss than glossy photo paper, thicker paper and it contains pigments and other materials that give purer whites and sharper, better defined highlights. We ship our prints flat, not rolled, regardless of the size.

Metal prints are a modern and visually striking way to display photographs. The printing process involves infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, resulting in vibrant and durable prints with a unique, high-gloss finish. Metal prints are always shipped ready to hang.
