Saturn and Titan

My processing on data from the Cassini spacecraft of Saturn and its moon Titan

The story

This is the result of spending a few minutes processing this image from the Cassini spacecraft. The planet in the back is Saturn. The blur in the front is the haze that surrounds Titan, the largest of Saturn’s moons. I like this image because it gives us an unusual perspective between a planet and one of its moons, not just a shadow or a small dot in front of the planet. The image itself is not a composite (there’s one floating around), but the original data is b/w, and the color was added using images from from other observations.

Fuji Pearl paper is a super high gloss finish, archival paper. It has a better gloss than glossy photo paper, thicker paper and it contains pigments and other materials that give purer whites and sharper, better defined highlights. We ship our prints flat, not rolled, regardless of the size.

Metal prints are a modern and visually striking way to display photographs. The printing process involves infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, resulting in vibrant and durable prints with a unique, high-gloss finish. Metal prints are always shipped ready to hang.
