The story

Spending four nights at Phillips Lake, OR, prior, during and after the 2017 eclipse, having this view right by my campsite, was an amazing “filling” for the main event that brought me to this spot, no doubt, and almost every night I would walk a few steps and take a shot of our Milky Way reflecting on the lake, just like this one. Yet, what I brought with me from this place was so much more. Unknowingly, a lake I might have not ever visited otherwise (it’s just too far from home), became a landmark in my life, a beach I will always remember as the place where I saw and felt the most out-worldly experience I’ve ever had. The impression left on me by this event isn’t quite comparable to the imprint of the Milky Way on the lake that we see here, but it was the best analogy that came to my mind as I was looking at the image and the blurry reflection – how we perceive things, often altered by our own state of mind, and how they really are. It works for me. Or you can just enjoy the view!

Fuji Pearl paper is a super high gloss finish, archival paper. It has a better gloss than glossy photo paper, thicker paper and it contains pigments and other materials that give purer whites and sharper, better defined highlights. We ship our prints flat, not rolled, regardless of the size.

Metal prints are a modern and visually striking way to display photographs. The printing process involves infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets, resulting in vibrant and durable prints with a unique, high-gloss finish. Metal prints are always shipped ready to hang.
